It is an exciting and transitional time in the life of our church. Beginning July 1, 2020 Pastor Emily will be available by email – EKroeger@wnccumc.net.
July 6th begins her full-time position in the office.
Emily is a graduate of Duke Divinity School Class of 2010 and since served congregations as a licensed local pastor in full-time and part-time capacities. This year she is pursuing ordination as an Elder and returning to full-time ministry.
Pastor Emily, and husband Mike Kroeger, are looking forward to uniting their family with the New Hope and Trinity church families. Jamison (age 17), Davis (age 15 and Annalyce (age 9) will be moving into the parsonage part-time on June 23rd and full-time in the Spring of 2021. The family has lived in Waxhaw since 2012. The boys attend Cuthbertson High School and Annalyce is in the Chinese language program at Kensington Elementary.
The Kroegers met at Appalachian State University in the campus ministry Wesley Center. They share the joys of church and the adventures God has led them to. They also have a mutual passion for life outdoors and fitness including daily runs, hiking with the kids, sharing family rest and relaxation on the water in kayaks or anything else that floats.
In February, Mike took time off from work in finance at Bank of America to take Emily on a 20th wedding anniversary trip to India. While they do love to explore and discover God’s presence in all places, there is no other place they would rather be than at home surrounded by the love and life of Jesus and God’s family.
